Dr. Jitte Flapper works at AkzoNobel in Sassenheim (The Netherlands), as R&D manager in the Innovation Group. Before joining AkzoNobel in 2011, he obtained his PhD at the University of Amsterdam in the field of homogeneous catalysis and worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the Eindhoven University of Technology (The Netherlands) and the University of Melbourne (Australia).
He has a great interest in coating science, mainly towards more sustainable paints and coatings, creating a new generation of products. Next to his daily work, he is involved in several public-private partnerships, mainly with Dutch universities.
